How to handle Rejections?

Have you experienced power of Rejection ever in your life? Not yet? Oh: means you have not yet realized or probably not imagined its power. Whenever we listen this word, many questions starts surfacing in our mind. Sometimes we feel little anxiety too. But really do we need to be fearful with it? Friends, in earlier articles you have read that life is game. So like game there is equal probability of winning and losing. My objective of discussing this topic, is to uncover the hidden power lying in rejections. It will make you strong enough to lead a powerful life. So let’s see how many types of rejections we face in our life.

Type of rejection

Rejection by Parents/children’s?

Rejection by Friends or relatives?

Rejection by employer or employee?

Rejection by society.?

Type of problems may be much more. For the time being let’s us discuss few of them in little details.

Rejection of Parents/Children’s

Friends all of us are not equal in terms of blessings. Someone is born in house of billionaire and someone in house of beggar. It all depends upon past Karma’s. Likewise, someone gets very caring parents. Upon birth sweets are distributed and parties are held. Despite near death experience mother also feels acute happiness and fulfillment. But it is not similar for all. Do you know the birth history of “Radhey” a very powerful character of Mahabharat. If you want to see it practically, I would suggest you to visit some “Orphanage” when you get time. You will see a different image of parenting. Rejection by Friends and Relatives

This problem is very common now a day. Instant divorce on minor issues. Lovers rejecting each other when they get better option. Even peoples going into depression and committing suicide. Where are we heading? In above video you have have seen how women's are taking shelter in orphanage. Position of Sr. Citizens is even worst. Increasing rush in old age home are a shame for us. One such case was reported in media where a son returned from America and found Skelton of her mother in home. He had not contacted her since 6 months.
       

Rejection by employer or employee

This is very crucial problem now a days. I remember my father worked for 40 years in organization. When I changed job thrice in first 10 years, then once he asked me whether I have any problem. I asked why you did not change job despite very low salary. He replied that he did not work for money rather he worked for relations. At that time, I did not understand what he wanted to say. Few time back I received a call from son of his firm’s owner. He asked why I did not inform them about passing of my father. Prior to that his sister also spoken to my mother. Then I realized what values my father have lived. From that time my outlook to see the relations changed.

Being in corporate when I see peoples rejecting the job offers when they get small hike at another place. Few peoples have made their tendency to blackmail employer by different ways, even they are protected and supported by their managers too in this process. Same way companies rejecting candidates and even loyal employees for immaterial reasons then I feel heartfelt pain and ask to God where this world is actually heading? 

Rejection of Society

Sometimes society also rejects persons. Have you heard the story of Aristotle? He was given death penalty for speaking something different from society’s view. Osho was also exiled from the country. Same way there are lot of examples where society have been harsh with certain peoples. Many competent peoples get defeat and criminals win in elections. This is the best example of rejection by society. You have read the example where “Eklavya” was rejected by Guru Dronacharya. Different group in society rejects the values and custom system of others, Its very painful.

Rejection of Nature

As a human being we are rejecting the love and existence of nature. Apart from other sources we are rejecting the humanity. Ignorance of human values is best example. We have caused huge loss to environment for example Delhi/NCR becomes gas chamber for months in winter season. This is nothing other than rejection of nature.

Causes of Rejection

What may be the reason of rejection? Is it zealousness with anybody or bad intention of rejecter? I am sure all of us might have faced rejection of one or other type at some stage in our life. Is it really a weakness in you?  Is there any particular reason of rejection? Probably nothing as such. Its only usability. Different stake holders go in rejection mode when they could not feel themselves competent enough to extract value from you. Since competency needs leadership, creativity, innovation and more over it a vision. These qualities need investment in self. So instead of going in investment mode peoples choose cheap option i.e. rejection. Further it is normal feature of life to select convenient option. It is not a question on your capability. So you need not worry. God have some plan for all.

Way Forward after Rejection

No doubt rejection gives feeling of pain and misery and some peoples get depressed due to it and go upto level of suicide too. However certain peoples who understand its inner power they take it as breakthrough in their life. So take is as plan of God to push you into your destiny. Just imagine what would have been if Guru Dronacharya accepted “Aklavya” as his student. He was Guru of more than 100 students. Name of how many students do you read in scriptures. Pain of rejection is actually a testimony that you have tried to do something different which many peoples did not try. Any new venture asks time and patients. When Amitabh Bacchan went to Akashvani for interview, Amin Sayani rejected him due to his voice. Amitabh did not gave up he capitalized this power of rejection and now his voice is a power in itself. I would like to give a personal example. Once i found some irregularities in TA bills of a sales staff. He was removed from services. It was very painful for all. Later on again I went there after 6 month and found that staff talking to his ex-colleagues. I had curiosity to know what he is doing now. He replied that initially he felt this episode very painful but later on he worked hard and updated himself and was selected in other competitor company at double package. So friends never mind the kicks of life, because without being kicked, no football has ever reached the goal.  So don’t worry be happy and enjoy the game of life.
